Community Outreach

At Unity, being able to reach out into the community is a proactive way in which we live the philosophy we believe - that we are all spiritually connected, one to another.  In this belief, when the consciousness of one is raised that it in turn raises the consciousness of us all.  

Programs include the annual Salvation Army Holiday Gift Giving program, Homeless Coat Drive, quarterly Red Cross Blood donation drives, and Rebuilding Houston Together.

Unity's Coat Drive

Our Unity Annual Coat Drive will begin Sunday, November 22nd.  It's time to clean out those closets and bring your coats and jackets to Unity's annual coat drive.  The drop-off location will be in our Sanctuary courtyard.  Your contributions will be distributed to the needy through the various homeless shelters in our metropolitan area.

Salvation Army Wish List Project

Our annual wish list project will begin on November 22 and 29th with the opportunity to pick up a Children's Gift Tag in the courtyard and return the gift unwrapped by December 6th so that we may deliver the items to the Salvation Army to be given out to the children before Christmas.

Unity's Quarterly Blood Drive

Unity Blood Drives for this year will be held on March 14th, June 13th, September 12th and January 16, 2011.  You may sign up on 2 weeks prior to the date in the courtyard at a blood drive table.  However, walkups are always welcome.  Give the gift of life by becoming a donor at our quarterly Blood Drive.
