April 21 - Museum of Natural Science, Leonardo da Vinci: Man, Inventor, Genius exhibit.
We will be visiting the Leonardo Da Vinci: Man, Inventor, Genius Exhibit at the Museum of Natural Science (Monday) April 21st. Da Vinci was one of the greatest geniuses the world has ever known. Over 500 years ago he invented flying machines, submarines, robots, underwater breathing gear and solar powered industries. This internationally acclaimed exhibition displays over 60 models of Da Vinci's famous machines, inventions and designs based on ancient codices. We will view Da Vinci's exhibit at 9:30 AM and then see The Forces of Nature Imax at 11:00 AM. Lunch at Cleburne’s - 12:30 PM. Please arrive at the church parking lot by 8:30 am as the bus will leave promptly at 9 AM. The bus will return around 2 PM. The Da Vinci tour and Imax is $17.00 and lunch is about $8.00. Enjoy a fun filled day Wednesday May 28th at the Dog Races. The $8.00 cost covers your beverage, all you can eat buffet, tax, tip sheet, racing program, reserved seating, free parking and admission. Call the church office to sign up for this trip. When reserving your seat, designate whether you can serve as a driver, as the regular bus for the monthly trip cannot be utilized. We will meet at the West parking lot by the Pyramid at 10:00 AM and leave shortly thereafter.
To make trip reservations or to answer any questions you may have regarding an upcoming senior activity, please call the Church receptionist at 713-782-4050. You may also sign up on Sunday at the Information Center, or at Senior Events. The bus always departs for the trips from the west parking lot by the Pyramid on Unity Drive. The free buses are provided by the Precinct Three Transportation Department of Commissioner Steve Radack for anyone 50 years of age and up.
