Mark your calendar early because The "Celebration Service" will be held on the "First Friday" of every month in the main sanctuary. About the Celebration Service:
What is the Celebration Service?
The Celebration Service is a one-hour contemporary music service. The service consists of Praise and Worship music where the audience is encouraged to sing along and participate. In addition, there is a guided meditation.
Is there a lesson or message?
Although there is no 'sermon', there is a message through song.
Who leads the service?
Our contemporary worship leaders, Jason and deMarco, lead the service along with the new Celebration Praise Team and the amazing Unity Band consisting of acoustic/electric guitar, bass, drums, piano and violin. There will also be surprise guest musicians occasionally.
Who can attend?
All are welcome! Young, old, the young at heart and everyone in between! Our teenagers, 5th - 12th grades, are invited to sit together in reserved seating and our young adults 18 - 30 'something' are also invited to sit together in reserved seating.
Do I have to stand and sing along?
Although standing and singing are encouraged, everyone is free to experience this service as they feel led. If you feel led to sit and observe, you are free to do so! However, we believe it will be hard to sit when you feel the energy of Spriit!
How much does it cost to come?
This service is FREE for everyone! A love offering is taken to support the expenses of the service and to meet the church's needs.
What does Praise and Worship Mean? What is it?
Praise and Worship is Love from the Heart
Praise and worship is a universal phenomenon. There is practically no culture in the world that does not perform any rites and rituals or worship in any form. Praise and worship is a natural instinct and seems to be one of the essential needs for humankind.
The simplest definition of the term praise and worship is to regard an embodiment of God with great devotion as a divine force. Not everybody worships the same God, or the same avatar of God, but everyone does worship and praise something or someone. Worship helps us to understand the divine force within ourselves better.
Many people think that praise and worship is only singing songs at church, but it is so much more! It is also a condition of your heart -- a willingness to be still and give thanks. A time to forget who and what is around you and simply 'be' with Spirit. Worship is an expression of love and awe to the Creator who has created the heavens and the earth. Whether you express your worship by singing, playing music, dancing or in some other way, remember that you are called to worship God with your every action, every day of your life.
