We will focus on the creation stories that are found in the Hebrew and Christian Bibles.  As we study the metaphysical interpretation of the (7) steps to the creative process, we grow in consciousness and toward outer expression of our spiritual selves.  The creation stories that we will be resourcing are maps to our greater spiritual growth and fulfillment.

The Book Study Group will be discussing Eternal Life: A New Vision... Beyond Religion, Beyond Theism, Beyond Heaven and Hell, by John Shelby Spong.  As we live our lives, fear of death is the most fundamental fear of our existence.  The best and only way it can be conquered is through knowledge and experience of our eternal beingness.  To discover and know at the deepest levels of our consciousness that we are eternal allays our fears of not surviving.  We can relax and live our lives to the fullest intent of our source and creator.

In this course, using the Bible as our primary text, we will explore the Christ idea as it relates to Jesus and all humankind.  Learners will explore how Old Testament messianic prophecy and New Testament accounts of the life and ministry of Jesus tell not only the store of Christ in history, but of Christ awakening in every soul.  The central focus of this course will be the Gospel of John and now and how the Christ idea evolved during the period when the books of the New Testament were being written.

The practice of meditation is the avenue to consciously creating our lives and our future in partnership with an energy and intelligence in the universe that's bigger than us.  Whether we call it God or Spirit or Divine Intelligence, the wisdom and the creativity of the One Mind is available to everyone who learns to cultivate stillness and receptivity to its wisdom and guidance.

The main focus of this course will be the meditation process and different techniques.  Meditation will be defined, practiced, and opportunities offered, to experience different methods.  You will gain the knowledge and tools to create your own meditation program.  Please wear loose and comfortable clothing, and bring a journal.

Reiki is a natural healing art that allows energy to flow from the divine Source of all healing, through the practitioner, into the receiver.  A Reiki Circle is an informal gathering of both Reiki practitioners and those interested in receiving the healing energy.
